Fly over forests and fens when you go microlighting in Corby! We have vouchers for 30 and 60-minute lessons in flex-wing and fixed-wing microlights out of this historic airfield in Northamptonshire.
Just a little bit east from the bustle of Corby city centre, you'll find Deenethorpe Airfield. It's a private aerodrome that is the perfect place for having a microlight flight, as you are surrounded by woodlands and lakes.
If you fancy that open-cockpit flying sensation, go for the flex-wing experience in a Quik microlight. If you'd prefer to be in a closed-cockpit aircraft, the fixed-wing SkyRanger Nynja (which looks just like your typical light aircraft, except lighter!) is the choice for you.
Depending on the duration chosen, you will climb above the airfield in your microlight and look down on local sights such as the lovely Corby boating lake, Barratt's Coppice, Weldon Little Wood and Bangrave Wood. These forested areas are home to many species of flora and fauna and you may even see herds of deer, or even roosts of Red Kite from the air - a magical sight!
As well as amazing views over the Corby countryside, the aim of these lessons is to give you a taster of how it feels to fly. So that's why, on every experience out of Deenethorpe Airfield, you will be given the opportunity to take control of the microlight. Once your pilot instructor has taken off and climbed to level flight at around 1500ft, it'll be over to you!
Book your slot and get ready to soar the skies in an open-cockpit flex-wing or a closed-cockpit fixed-wing aircraft, when you are microlighting in Corby!
