UTV driving and riding in Kent! All aboard a brilliant Utility Terrain Vehicle at this renowned outdoor driving centre near West Malling in Kent. It's going to be a lot of fun.
A bit like a beefier quad bike, these UTVs are pretty cool machines. As the name might suggest, they are mostly used as workhorses in difficult-to-get-to places, but that doesn't mean they're dull. Far from it. These Utility Terrain Vehicles can take on pretty much anything!
What's great about a UTV is how flexible they are. You can seat up to four (including your instructor) in these Honda Pioneers. And if you've got lots of tools or gear to transport, you can chuck out the passengers, fold the seats down and throw on all the cargo.
Your instructor host will start off your UTV experience with a little safety briefing at basecamp. Then you'll be taken out for a demo session in the Honda, with your instructor at the wheel. That way, you can see how driving these things is really done!
Then it's over to you. There will be up to three of you plus your instructor onboard the Pioneer and you can choose whether you want to ride or drive. If you do drive, you'll find that the automatic transmission and power steering really helps when controlling this machine. It might be heavier than your usual quad, but boy can it go places - even with a full load of four people!
You've got lots of space to try out the UTV. Ashtree Farm just outside West Malling covers over 200 acres with woodlands, open fields and orchards. You'll come across lots of natural and man-made obstacles to tackle and whether you drive or ride, it's going to be a right giggle.
Suitable for all ages (kids as young as five can ride and it's a minimum age of eight to drive), we think booking to go UTV driving in Kent is a great experience for all the family!
