Junior offroading in Mid Wales in a funky new-style Land Rover! Kids aged 8 to 16 years will love the chance to jump in a powerful 110 Defender 4x4 and drive the off road circuit at this driver training centre near Penybont, Powys.
No need for a driving licence, any experience or even be tall enough to reach the pedals. These latest Landys are full dual-control, including the accelerator, so kids can have fun just doing the steering, or do more of the driving themselves. No stress, as each experience is geared towards each child, helping to build confidence in their own abilities.
What we love about this Welsh experience is that the briefing is before they get in the car, so youngsters get a full 45-minutes behind the wheel of the Defender. And what’s more, two passengers (at least one must be an adult) can ride in the vehicle too to see what it's all about!
Being a dedicated off road driving centre means proper, well-thought out tracks and trails with steep climbs, descents and slippery slopes. And we have to say, kids love the big, round ‘elephant’s feet’ slabs that they’ll tackle
It’s a great spot on the edge of Radnor Forest. You're just off the A488 on a country lane between Dolau and Beddfa, a few miles northeast from Penybont. Lovely scenery, a tranquil location and top tuition in a great car. If you’re 8-16 years old, you can’t beat junior offroading fun in Mid Wales!
