Meet the alpacas of Atherstone! Walk with the adorable alpacas at this Warwickshire farm for a fun visit in the countryside. A great activity that kids and adults alike will love.
Norman, Dobie, Jon Snow, Dark Knight and Ron Weasley are just some of the herd of alpacas living at this farm near Atherstone. It's a busy alpaca community here, with crias (baby alpacas) being born every year. You'll get to meet members of this extended alpaca family on your visit.
In the visitor barn, you'll hear about caring for alpacas, the breeding programme and what their fluffy fleeces are used for. And you'll also get to meet your hosts who will be guiding you for the walk. After learning how to put a harness on an alpaca, you and your new walking buddy will be ready for the off.
It's going to be a lovely, leisurely stroll around this five-acre Warwickshire farm. Walks go ahead in all weathers, so wellies are a must in the winter months and on rainy days. There'll be plenty of time to bond with your alpaca (they all have such distinctive personalities!) and they're always up for a few selfies too.
When you get back to their paddock, it's harness off and a cuddle with your new alpaca BFF. You will also be able to feed them a little treat and take some more photos. Being a working farm, your hosts will then head off to do their daily farming duties (lots of mucking out and feeding!), but you are welcome to stay on a bit and have a look around and say hi to the other animals.
Make sure you pop in and visit the farm shop for your alpaca fleece and yarn goodies, stopping off at the Coffee Shack for a barista-style coffee, with light snacks and bites served too. Book now to walk with the alpacas of Atherstone for a family-friendly day out in Warwickshire.
