Push the envelope with thrilling Championship aerobatics in Cambridge! These experiences will see you being invited to attend this prestigious aerobatics academy and enjoy the sheer exhilaration of aerial stunt flying in planes piloted by champions.
The academy is based out of Fowlmere Airfield, which is south-west of Cambridge, between Royston and Duxford, just off the M11. Originally an RAF station, flying has been happening here since WW1. Now it's all about incredible aerial displays of daredevil feats for fun in the skies over Cambridgeshire.
Adrian Willis is Chief Instructor and the manager of Fowlmere. Facilities are excellent, with a modern fleet of aircraft and world-class aerobatic instructors. Many pupils come to Cambridge from all over the world to learn aerobatics - several of whom usually go on to become competition-winning pilots!
As the academy's newest recruit, you'll be invited into the fold to lift the lid on what aerobatics flying is really all about. You'll be going up in an Extra 200, one of the best-known aerobatic planes ever. It's an amazingly agile little thing and powerful too.
What we love about these aerobatics flights out of Cambridge is that you choose just how daring you want to go. Pick between a 30 or 40-minute flight time voucher and then it's up to you whether you go Intro, Intermediate or Extreme. Have a look at what's on the manoeuvre menu in the ‘What's Included' section to see just what moves you'll be experiencing before you decide which one to go for.
Humpty bumps, half Cuban eights, snap rolls, inverted spins - you could be doing them all when you sign up to fly like an aerobatics champion in Cambridge. Let's see if you dare do it!
