You will be flying in a Robin 2160 Alpha Sport. This is a low-wing, fully aerobatic light aircraft that is a great little trainer plane, as it is dual-control. That means you won't just be a passenger, you'll be able to have a go flying the Robin - if you're up for it.
This agile little plane is really popular with pilots. They say it's a lovely aeroplane to fly that handles very well in the air. It's not super fast, so you can really enjoy performing your aerobatic moves.
But make no mistake, just because this Robin is used for aerobatic training at this Northamptonshire flight school, doesn't mean to say it's like a learner plane.
