What Can I Expect

Drive a Maserati around the race track and feel like an Italian driving deity! You will be behind the wheel of the magnificent Gran Turismo at the Bovingdon driving centre in Hertfordshire. Prepare to be a Maserati driver for 4 or 8 delectable laps of the smooth tarmac track.

The celebrated design house Pininfarina (who has designed everything from the Ferrari 308 and Peugeot 205, to Swiss high-speed intercity trains and Learjets) is behind the styling of the Gran Turismo and it shows. Sleek and beautiful, you are likely to enjoy admiring the sumptuous interior and bodywork as much as you will driving the car around the circuit.

An integral part of the design is the distinctive Maserati logo. It's a trident; a three-pronged spear. But where did the inspiration come from? You'll find the answer in Maserati's home town of Bologna in the Piazza Maggiore, where the famous statue of Neptune on the fountain is holding a trident, just like the one that features on the grille of every Maserati.

Indeed, the Gran Turismo totally embodies Maserati's motto of "Excellence through passion". Its sonorous 4.2l V8 engine is unmistakable and you'll feel like you're cruising the sun-kissed streets of Portofino when you drive a Maserati. They are just so utterly gorgeous.

Before you can be let loose on the track in the Maserati, you'll head out as passenger in a high-performance car for two reconnaissance laps, including one at high speed. After that, it's time to meet the Maserati…

Take a moment before sliding into the driver's seat to admire this car. With a satisfying nod you know it's about to be your moment. This is when you get to drive one of the best modern Grand Tourers of our time. Any Maserati owner driver will tell you it's a delight to drive. This GT is so in tune with the driver experience, combining performance, comfort and luxury with ease.

You will drive the Maserati for 4 or 8 laps of this Hertfordshire circuit at Bovingdon. With each lap your confidence will grow, as you and this Gran Turismo start to work together to put in an impressive track performance. Pure joy, Italian style.

• Drive a Maserati GranTurismo
• Welcome, introduction and safety briefing
• 3 instructors driven sighting laps in a track prepared sport car to learn the racing lines and braking points followed by 1 high speed passenger lap
• Drive the Maserati for 4 laps for blast experiences or 8 laps for the thrill
• Each lap is approximately 1 mile
• Performance driving debrief with your instructor
• Please allow 90 minutes on site

Spectators

Friends and family are welcome to come along and can participate in passenger hot laps or driving laps, for an additional charge payable on the day
