The moment you enter our state-of-the-art Spitfire simulator, you'll be transported back in time. This meticulously designed Mk IX simulator replicates the iconic World War II aircraft’s cockpit, allowing you to experience what it felt like to fly during a pivotal time in history.

Choose between exhilarating 60-minute or 90-minute flight sessions at our Mildenhall center, where expert instructors, many of whom are ex-RAF avionics engineers, will guide you through your journey. These sessions are more than just a ride; they are an immersive training experience that offers hands-on opportunities to understand the controls and mechanics of the Spitfire.

What's Included

• Experience being at the controls of the iconic MK.IX Spitfire simulator
• The simulator boasts complete replica cockpit, analogue controls and tactile feedback that surrounds you in the sights, sounds, and feel of the spitfire
• All sessions start with short briefing and 30 minutes on a training simulator, getting you familiar with flight instruments, start-up, taxi, take-off, flight controls and landing
• Training sessions are designed to prepare you for your flight in the Spitfire
• Choose from several scenarios for your spitfire session including a Battle of Britain Dogfight, choice of World War Two airfields and many more
• Two guests may accompany you to watch your session

60 Minute Spitfire Experience

• 5 Minute briefing for the Trainer Sim
• 30 Minute flight in the Training Sim
• 15 Minute Spitfire brief and planning
• 30 Minute flight in the Spitfire Simulator
• Allow approximately one and a half hours on site for this experience

90 Minute Spitfire Experience

• 5 Minute briefing for the Trainer Sim
• 30 Minute flight in the Training Sim
• 15 Minute Spitfire brief and planning
• 60 Minute flight in the Spitfire Simulator
• Allow approximately two hours on site for this experience

When Is It Available

• Simulator experiences are available throughout the year
• Choose from a weekday only voucher available Tuesdays to Fridays or to include Saturdays opt for an anytime voucher
• Sessions are available between 09:00 and 17:00

Suitable For

• Minimum age 10
• Under 18s must be accompanied by a spectating adult
• Maximum Weight 110kg
• Minimum Height 160cm
• Maximum Height 193cm
• You must be fit and agile enough to climb into the cockpit (Example: It's like climbing into a bath and back out again)
• Participants will require a degree of mobility
• No wheelchair access

Spectators

• Two guests may accompany you to watch your session
• There is a waiting area for additional people (maximum of 4) - please inform when booking if you plan to bring along any extra people

• This is a fixed base/ static simulator and does not move
