Get ready for an exhilarating experience that brings you as close as possible to actual flight without leaving the ground. Located at a prestigious flight training school within Glasgow International Airport, this fixed-base simulator is your gateway to the aviation world. You’ll take the captain’s seat of a Boeing 737, the backbone of commercial air travel.
While this is not quite the real thing, it’s impressively realistic, allowing you to maneuver through a simulated environment that mimics the feel of flying a full-sized aircraft. Let’s face it: chartering a real 737 for an hour would set you back around £8,500, while purchasing one will cost you over $96 million, not to mention the need for a license! So, why not enjoy this amazing simulator experience instead?
The Boeing 737-800 is equipped with all the modern avionics and systems that today’s pilots use, and you’ll quickly discover that flying it isn’t as intuitive as it seems. For those who think gaming experience equates to real-life flying, prepare for a thrilling challenge,it's a lot more complex than pushing buttons!
We recommend a minimum of 60 minutes for a truly immersive session, where you'll execute the full flight procedure. Starting from the departure gate, you’ll run through engine start-up and taxiing before experiencing take-off, navigating through your IFR flight plan, and ultimately landing back at the terminal for shutdown.
If that feels overwhelming, consider the 30 or 45-minute options that provide a taste of the flying experience with the main highlights. For the ultimate adventure, the full 90-minute session allows you to command an extended flight, giving you ample time to immerse yourself in the captain's role.
