Silver clay ring making in Hull - your chance to handcraft your very own, bespoke, silver ring using precious metal clay during a full-day workshop hosted by Richard Allen.
Just imagine being able to make a solid silver ring out of clay! Easy to work with and without any need for skills such as soldering or metalwork, these workshops are a superb experience for anyone who wants to create a lovely ring from silver.
Lots of students attend as couples to make each other rings, others want to learn the clay skills as a new hobby and the vouchers make great gifts for newly engaged couples and BFFs alike!
Throughout the day, you will learn the processes behind using clay packed with silver particles that, once kiln-fired and polished, magically leave you with a silver ring.
Using ring sizers and mandrels, you’ll roll out the clay to the ring size you want and then it’s time to add textures onto the ring using clay sculpting tools.
If you’ve got previous experience using silver clay, you can attend the ‘Ultimate’ workshop, where you’ll learn more advanced skills such as adding stones and carving techniques.
Newbies will love the Beginners Ring Class, as no previous experience is needed and you will be amazed at how even basic techniques will result in a very attractive ring, which is all the more precious to you as you are the one who made it.
These silver clay ring making workshops take place at a training studio near the centre of Hull, in the Alexandra Docks area of the city. Class sizes are kept small, so each of you will have your own work station and all the tools and materials are included.
