What Can I Expect

Gyroplane flights out of Brighton Airport? They're right here! We are offering vouchers for 30, 60 and 90-minute experiences from the famous Art Deco airport right by the seaside at Shoreham.

You will be flying in a RotorSport UK MT-03 gyroplane (or you might know them as gyrocopters!). This Brighton team headed up by Lloyd absolutely love being able to get airborne over such a stunning area in these open-cockpit gyros - it's where you get the wind-in-your-hair feel and all the views too!

Within seconds of taking off from Brighton's historic airfield, you are right over the Adur estuary and the sea. Located at Shoreham in between Worthing and Brighton means you are well-placed for amazing vistas during your flight.

And indeed, flying was a childhood dream for head instructor Lloyd. His career in the Royal Navy fleet arm led him to flying helicopters (which he still does) but he has a special place in his heart for these little gyroplanes.

You'll be able to share his enthusiasm, experience and knowledge on your gyroplane experience. Whether you go for 30, 60 or 90-minutes, there will be plenty of time for you to have a go at the controls if you fancy it, or you can sit back and enjoy the ride. It's up to you.

You will love the chance to fly over the Sussex coast in a gyroplane out of Brighton Airport - the oldest commercial airport in the world that is still operating!

What's Included

When Is It Available

• Weekdays and weekends throughout the year
• All flights are subject to weather conditions

Suitable For

• Minimum age 14
• Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult
• Maximum weight 16 stone
• You must be between 4'6" and 6'4" (137cm and 193cm)
• You need to be agile enough to get in and out of the gyrocopter
• No previous flying experience is required
• Please seek medical advice if you have previously suffered a heart condition or other medical complaint such as back or neck problems

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome to watch your gyrocopter flight

Anything Else

• Comfortable outdoor clothing and closed toe footwear should be worn
• It is also recommended you bring gloves to wear on the flight
