What Can I Expect

A NASCAR-style American race car experience at The London Motor Circuit! A fine pair of vouchers that give you the opportunity to get to grips with driving a ‘Late Model Series’ modern Mustang around this track in Hertfordshire.

Just to put the NASCAR™ (that's to say National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) series into perspective for you, it is a massive spectator sport in the USA, second only to American football. Hundreds of thousands of NASCAR™ fans watch race meetings and the drivers are all huge heroes over the pond.

The ‘Late Model’ series has seen the best drivers progress to the main NASCAR™ races. This 3.5l 'Late Model' Mustang pushes a not too shabby 500bhp and a 0-60mph time of just 3.4 seconds. Let’s see if you can handle this beast of a V8 on the track.

This Mustang is totally race-prepped and stripped down. Inside it’s an aluminium dashboard and minimal dials and switches. Then there's the fully integrated roll cage and the NASCAR approved spoiler. But the best bit? There are no doors on these racers, which means the only way into the car is through the window opening!

After a detailed driver briefing, instructor driven demo laps (including one at high speed), it’s over to you. Four laps will be driven in yellow flag conditions so you can get used to this four-speed manual with big fat slick tyres.

The finale is your cluster of unrestricted driving laps. With an instructor beside you, you’ll embark on another four or 12 laps (depending on the voucher chosen) to have your Days of Thunder moment to remember when you got to drive a NASCAR™ ‘Late Model’ Mustang race car!

What's Included

• Drive a 'Late Model NASCAR' at The London Motor Circuit
• Choice of 12 or 20 laps
• 30 minute introduction and briefing covering race lines, throttle/braking techniques and track day safety
• Full safety briefing out of and inside the car, specific to this specialist car's unique requirements

12 Lap Experience

• 4 x sighting laps including 1 high speed passenger lap in a track prepared sports car, teaching racing lines and driving technique for the stock car
• 4 x driving laps in the "Nascar" Mustang under yellow flag conditions
• 4 x driving laps in the "Nascar" Mustang with 1:1 tuition from our motorsport instruction team

20 Lap Experience

• 4 x sighting laps including 1 high speed passenger lap in a track prepared sports car, , teaching racing lines and driving technique for the stock car
• 4 x driving laps in the "Nascar" Mustang under yellow flag conditions
• 12 x driving laps in the "Nascar" Mustang with 1:1 tuition from our motorsport instruction team

When Is It Available

• Selected weekdays throughout the year
• Upgrades to include Saturday's are available (upgrade fee payable direct when booking your date)
• Experiences are subject to availability and weather conditions

Suitable For

• Minimum age 17
• Full manual driving licence required
• Height restriction: maximum 6ft 3ins
• Weight restriction: maximum 18 stone
• Participants must be physically fit with no serious health conditions

Please Note

• There are no doors on this car so participants must be able to enter the car through a small window space, climbing in and out of the car with ease
• The Entrance and Exit is 22.5" by 14.5" (65cm by 37cm)
• If you are unable to safely enter and exit the car, you will not be able to participate and will forfeit your voucher

Spectators

• Friends and family are welcome to come along and can participate in passenger hot laps  or driving laps,  for an additional charge payable on the day

Anything Else

• Glasses must be worn if needed
• Flat-soled shoes must be worn
• Refreshments and snacks are available to purchase onsite
• Drivers will need to sign a form accepting risk and vehicle damage liability of up to £10,000+VAT.  Alternatively damage liability reduction is available to purchase on the day starting from £27
