Are you ready for the Castle Combe single seater experience? This is your chance to drive a single seat Formula Ford racing car at this historic circuit near Chippenham in Wiltshire.
At 1.8 miles long, Castle Combe is one of the longest circuits in the country and boasts some of the UK's most challenging corners for racing cars. This is a Motorsport UK-accredited track, which means proper racing happens at Castle Combe - and you will be driving the same layout as the pro racers!
Sessions begin with a detailed briefing which covers all the aspects of safety and explains the secrets of racing lines, turn in points and apexes. Then it's time for some practical tuition in the school's fleet of Ford Fiestas, equipped with the race-proven Zetec engine.
Three laps are instructor-driven demo laps and then it’s you driving for four laps, for you to get a feel for this Castle Combe circuit, whilst the ARDS instructors analyse your driving.
Then you move on to the big one - the Formula Ford single seater racing car!
Crash helmet on, full harness seat belts tightened and engine fired up. Edge out onto the circuit…and you’re off! You’re riding solo out there on that famous Castle Combe race track. A massive adrenaline rush.
Six laps later and your dream of driving a single seater racing car has become a reality. Time to head back into the briefing area for your certificate presentation and to pick up your driving assessment sheet.
Set amongst beautiful rolling Cotswold countryside, this Castle Combe race circuit offers a fantastic place to get a taste of single seater driving in full race conditions. A must-do experience!
