Get ready for an unforgettable adventure on the water! During your private paddleboarding lesson in Southampton, you’ll receive expert guidance designed to help you build your skills and confidence on a stand-up paddleboard.
Your instructor will greet you at Monk's Hill beach, where you'll receive all the equipment you need. After a brief introduction to paddleboarding basics, you'll hit the water! Expect plenty of one-on-one attention, tailored instruction, and plenty of encouragement.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to enhance your technique, our lessons are perfect for all skill levels. Soak in the panoramic views of the Solent as you paddle along, and enjoy the serene nature all around you. Join us for a fun-filled day on the water – it's a fantastic way to connect with nature and each other!
What's Included
- Private paddleboarding session
- Welcome, introduction and safety briefing
- Tuition from a qualified instructor
- Learn the board basics and how to access and leave the water
- You will be taught paddling techniques, knee riding and standing (if you feel confident)
- Practice your new paddleboarding skills on the Solent waters for the remainder of the session
- All equipment including board, paddles and buoyancy aids are included
- Sessions last one and a half hours
When Is It Available
- Weekday and weekends throughout the year
- Dates and session times are subject to availability
- Low and mid tides are best as the water is usually flatter than at high tide, although sessions can operate in all tides
Suitable For
- Minimum age 10
- Under 18s must have an adult present for the duration of the lesson
- A good, general level of fitness is required
- Participants must be able to swim 50m unaided and be able to tread water

- Wetsuit hire is not included, wetsuit & boot hire can be arranged if needed for an additional £10 per person, this must be booked in advance via email
- Participants should bring a towel and swimsuit/shorts
- The main teaching location has both male and female toilet facilities, and an outside shower
- In adverse weather conditions an alternative location (without facilities) may be used
