What's Included
- RC Flying tuition at BMFA Buckminster
- Tuition from Qualified Model Flying Instructor & Model Flying Examiner
- Fly fixed wing aircraft, with Mode 2 transmitter controls (throttle & rudder on the left stick, aileron & elevator on the right stick)
- 2 flights of approximately 8 minutes per flight
- Coffee break, with general discussion on the progress, aims the next flights & any update required on the theory of flying the model
- Further two 8 minute flights with briefing between them
- Flights are recorded onto a micro-SD card using 'Flight Coach' and results can be emailed to you help improve the understanding of the training
- Courses are tailor-made to your requirements
- Training flights are operated 'Dual Control', with the instructor and trainee linked via a 'Buddy box' system
- Allow approximately three hours on site for this experience
- Sessions are limited to a maximum amount of 2 participants
Basic Training
- Fly the Max Thrust RIOT
- The perfect aircraft to learn all the basics flying skills, or to prepare you to take the BMFA A test
Advanced Training
- Fly a high quality precision aerobatic biplane
- Models have a 1.5m wingspan and are electric 6S powered
When Is It Available
- Sessions generally take place on weekdays
- Weekends may be able to be arranged by prior arragement, however the centre is busy at the weekends so not ideal for training
- Dates and session times are subject to availability and weather conditions
- Morning and afternoon sessions are usually available
