Enjoy seaside views when you go kayaking in Brighton! We are offering a two-hour kayak session setting off from Brighton Marina so you can see the shoreline from a new perspective. These experiences are open to beginner kayakers.
Brighton is a spirited and bustling place. There's always lots going on and we all know how popular the main seafront between the Palace Pier and the West Pier is. But head the other way and you'll soon find yourself in a more wild, back-to-nature part of this popular seaside resort.
Setting off from Brighton Marina in your kayak, you'll be able to discover this stunning area of the eastern coastline from the water. And believe us, looking back at the shore from the sea is really quite special. The white cliffs and the undercliff walkways between the marina and Ovingdean are truly a sight to behold.
You'll kayak as far as Rottingdean beach, before turning round to head back to base at the marina. It's very much a do-able trip within a couple of hours, even for those new to kayaking.
An instructor will lead the group. You'll be coached on the best paddle techniques for kayaking on the sea, including dealing with waves (nose head on to the wave, paddle in the water and stroke after the wave passes!) and capsize drills if you fancy it (they're actually quite fun!). There will even be time for some kayak games during your paddle out.
Kayaking from Brighton Marina is available from March to October. You will use the sheltered water part of Brighton Marina in poor sea conditions. Buy vouchers for one to eight of you to get paddling.
